Acrosports is a team that is selected by tryouts. It covers tumbling, stunting and pyramids that are choreographed to music. It hosts a two-day clinic for area schools and travels throughout the Carolina Conference performing and providing clinics to different schools and church groups. The team performs an end of the year pre show and home show.
The basketball team is a team that is selected by tryouts. Every year the team goes to the annual Andrew’s University Cardinal Classic where they play basketball with other teams from around the United States. The basketball team is also involved in many games on and off campus.
The chorale is a group of auditioned students who perform locally and throughout the conference, with an extended tour once every four years. They study a variety of choral music and practice to develop the art of ensemble singing and vocal technique.
This class is open to any student with some proficiency with a brass, wind or percussion instrument. Students are encouraged to grow as an ensemble while performing the best in sacred and secular music. The group tours throughout the Carolina Conference and every fourth year tours nationally/internationally.
This Christian witnessing class will focus on involving young people in a ministry of sharing God’s love and drug free living through the creative use of their hands. The group performs in schools, churches, hospitals, and nursing homes throughout the Carolina Conference. Every third year the group tours nationally / internationally.
Present Truth Drama*
Through prayer, sketches, musical mimes and personal outreach the drama company endeavors to share the message of God’s love with local youth and churches and communities throughout the Eastern United States. Membership is obtained through audition.
Hand Bell Choir*
Hand Bell Choir is a select group chosen through auditions who travel typically in coordination with other music organizations. Hand bells performs a variety of unique sacred music. Every year the group tours to Toledo, Ohio for the annual “Ring Festival”.
This class produces “Mountain Memories”, Mount Pisgah Academy’s yearbook. Photographers will learn basic photography and Photoshop skills. Photographers should own their own camera. Designers are responsible for the layout and design of the yearbook pages. Designers will learn Yeartech, Photoshop, and InDesign (an industry standard) programs.
