RECORD NUMBER OF STUDENTS ATTENDS MUSIC FESTIVAL

Written by Abby Ackerman, Marketing Director

Music Festival
Each year, Mount Pisgah Academy hosts the annual Carolina Conference Music Festival. This year marked a record attendance, with more than 350 visitors participating in the festival. While on campus, participants stayed in the dormitories, enjoyed meals in the cafeteria, and took part in various campus activities. Of course, the primary purpose of their visit was to grow and refine their musical talents.

This year, we were blessed to welcome two incredible clinicians: Steven Green and Andres Silva. Steven Green, music director for Asheville Pisgah Christian School and Mount Pisgah Academy, led the choir in several engaging, uplifting pieces that were interactive and centered on praising our Lord and Savior. Andres Silva, music director for Atlanta North School, worked with the handbell ensemble, guiding participants through several pieces while teaching new techniques and helping them refine their skills.

We are incredibly grateful for the dedication of our staff and students who worked hard to make this event a success. If you missed the live performance, you can view it here: Carolina Conference Music Festival 2026

We hope you will plan to join us next year for our annual Carolina Conference Music Festival! We hope to see you there!

SPRING VARSITY ATHLETICS SEASON BEGINS

This week marked the start of our spring athletics season with girls’ varsity soccer and boys’ varsity volleyball. This season is especially exciting as it features the very first boys’ varsity volleyball team at Mount Pisgah Academy!

Both teams kicked off their seasons with their first games on Tuesday, March 3. Although the results did not end in victory, our athletes demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship, camaraderie, and teamwork throughout their matches.

We are looking forward to a great season ahead as our players continue to develop their skills and grow their talents. We would also like to extend a special thank you to our coaches for the time and dedication they are investing in our students this season: Luis Garcia (soccer) and Kaden Huckaby, ’25 (volleyball).

SCHOOL-WIDE MISSION TRIPS DEPART

This weekend, all of our students and full-time staff will depart for mission trips to various locations. Groups will be traveling to Utila, Honduras; Santa Bárbara, Honduras; Barahona, Dominican Republic; and Alabama, while others will remain locally in Asheville to serve the surrounding community.

We would like to extend a special thank you to everyone who has generously donated in support of these trips. Your support helps make these meaningful experiences possible for our students.

We also appreciate your prayers for safe travels and for each group as they serve. We know this will be a truly blessed experience, and we look forward to hearing the stories and seeing the impact when everyone returns.
