SEVEN STUDENTS GIVE THEIR LIVES TO CHRIST

Throughout this school year, our chaplain, Joe Frescino, has been leading a small group of students in a weekly Bible study. Through this time together, students have deepened their understanding of God and grown in their personal faith journeys. The first half of our mission statement emphasizes helping students develop a personal relationship with Christ—and that is exactly what we’ve seen take place.

On April 4, 2026, seven students chose to be baptized at the Mount Pisgah Academy Church. It was a beautiful Sabbath, surrounded by friends and family, as each student made a public declaration to give their life to Christ.

We are incredibly proud of these students and their decision, and we look forward to watching them continue to grow in their walk with Him.

SCHOOL-WIDE MISSION TRIPS ARE A SUCCESS

This spring, our students had the incredible opportunity to participate in school-wide mission trips, serving in a variety of locations, including the Dominican Republic, Santa Barbara and Utila in Honduras, Alabama, and right here in Asheville, North Carolina.

Each group took part in meaningful, hands-on service projects tailored to the needs of their community. From construction and outreach to children’s programs and local service initiatives, students were able to be the Hands and Feet of Jesus while building lasting connections and memories.

These mission trips are a vital part of our school’s commitment to service, allowing students to step outside of their comfort zones, grow in their faith, and make a tangible impact in the lives of others.

We invite you to learn more about each group’s experience by watching the student recap presentations shared during church on Sabbath, March 28. You can view them here: MPA Mission Trip Testimonies

ACADEMY DAYS SEES RECORD NUMBERS

The last weekend of March, we hosted our annual Academy Days—a special time when prospective students visit our campus to experience what Mount Pisgah Academy is all about.

Throughout the weekend, visitors enjoyed performances from several of our student organizations, including Choir, Symphony, Acrosports, and Creative Ministries. They also learned more about our school-wide mission trips and had the opportunity to step into the classroom for a firsthand look at the academic experience.

In addition, students were able to try out for scholarships, with visitors earning a total of over $90,000 in awards throughout the weekend. Many attendees have already submitted applications, and some have even completed the process and been accepted for the 2026–2027 school year.

This year’s Academy Days brought record attendance, and we are excited to welcome these new students and the energy they will bring to our campus next year.

RENOVATIONS ON THE GYMNASIUM HAVE BEGUN

We are excited to announce that renovations on our gymnasium officially began on Monday, April 20. We are partnering with Ryse Construction on this exciting project and look forward to returning to a fully renovated facility by Winter 2026.

Planned upgrades include new bathrooms and flooring, a reconfigured entrance featuring a classroom and training room, built-in bleachers, and much more. These improvements will enhance both the functionality and overall experience of our athletic facilities.

We can’t wait to see the finished result and all the ways it will benefit our students and school community!
