THE MISSING LENS
One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple. Psalm 27:4
These were just ordinary days, coming home from school on the bus. This happened twice in the 8th grade. The first one, which I do not know how this happened, I was walking up the hill on my property and somehow my glasses fell off my face. I believe I may have been running. Since I am legally blind and cannot see without my glasses, I got upset and headed inside my house. I asked my grandparents if they could help me search, but they were busy doing other things. So instead, I went to my bed, bent down, and prayed to God. I prayed that He would help me find my glasses out on the field. Happily, I found them with the help of God. The second time I lost my glasses was just like any other day. I was coming back from school and going into my house. This time though, I thought I had set my glasses down on my little desk. Then all of a sudden, I lost them. I went to my grandparents to ask if they had seen them, and they told me, “No”. So once again, I went to my room, next to my bed, and bent down and prayed to God. I asked that He would help me find my glasses. After that, it was as if God, Himself, led me to my glasses. Turned out they were in a sack of onions. How about that? God works in mysterious ways. I am always glad that God helps me when I need Him.
