MONKEYS

“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are Mine.” Isaiah 43:1

When I was around six years old, I lived in Thailand with my family. Thailand is an exotic country, and it has exotic animals, like monkeys. One day our family went sightseeing and we saw a Buddhist temple. This whole temple compound was fenced, gated, and covered in monkeys. We took pictures by them and they were pretty good-natured and just stood there while we acted like the monkey paparazzi. As I was standing next to an older monkey who was sitting on a handrail, a younger monkey jumped on my back. I was really scared. These monkeys were known to bite. Thankfully my mom jumped forward and grabbed my hand, pulling me away, which frightened the monkey who then jumped off. I believe that just like my mom jumped in and saved me, God will do the same for you.
