HE IS OUR GUIDE

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6

Last year, my grandpa and I went fishing on the Saluda River in South Carolina. We put our waders on and headed out. When we reached the river, my grandpa waded into it and started fishing. I walked a little downstream, but made sure to stay in view of him. I walked out onto a big rock and started to fish. I did not have any luck, so I looked up to see where my grandpa was but he was not there. I walked a little farther up the river and still could not find him. I went up to the bank and kept looking and yelling for him and I still could not find him. I stopped and sat down on a rock to check my phone and I had no signal. Then I heard someone yell, “Will, I’m over here.” I got up and followed the voice over a hill and then I heard it again. “I’m down here,” the voice said, coming from the bank. I walked towards the voice and there I saw my grandpa. I said to him, “I sure am lucky I could hear you yelling for me from all the way over there.” He looked at me and said, “I didn’t yell.” We truly believe the voice I heard that day was an angel. If you need help just ask God and He will guide you to where you need to be.
