Mount Pisgah Academy
GOD'S PLAN
“Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10
This year I am a freshman at Mount Pisgah Academy. I was born in Raleigh, North Carolina and went to middle school there. When I was in the 8th grade, my family had just moved houses, which meant I was starting a new school for my last year in middle school. When I first stepped foot on campus at that middle school, I did not like the school, I did not like the people, and I even disliked some of the staff. It was clear to me and my family that the school was not working for me and that I did not enjoy it. I wanted to transfer or move back to my prior school. As the year went on, my family and I were deciding where the best place would be for me to start my high school education. Later in the year, my mom told me about this Seventh-day Adventist boarding school located in the mountains in North Carolina, near Asheville. As time went on, I learned more about the school and decided that I wanted to attend Mount Pisgah Academy. Later, after attending MPA for a few months, I found out that I liked this school and that this is the place for me. At first I had my struggles, which included being homesick, but later I got used to this school and loved it. I learned that God has a plan for all of us and that everything will get better if we just trust in Him.
